AQAR REPORT 2011 ? 2012
The Key Focus of SIES is to provide education to the masses and with this in mind the following measures are undertaken to enhance the knowledge imparted, make the students more competent, self - reliant in today?s world of competition and at the same time make them morally responsible citizens.
Based on the exit report of the peer team and the objectives that the institution was able to accomplish during the preceding year, the following activities were planned for the forthcoming academic year.
Research Oriented Activities
  • Research oriented linkages with industries will be initiated.
  • Registration of more teachers as Ph.D. guides and more research projects.
  • Registration of more teachers for Ph.D .
  • Recognition of Laboratories for Ph. D programmes.
  • Provide motivation for publication of research activity.
Teaching - Learning Resources
  • Orientation programmes for all classes at the college level with an aim to provide clarity into each course being offered specially with the introduction of the credit based system of evaluation introduced by the University of Mumbai.
  • Build the confidence of the students regarding the course selected.
  • Create awareness among the students? about the subject of their choice.
  • Provide information to the students about the opportunities that would be available to them after completion of the course.
  • Expand the use of ICT in Teaching Methods ? Teachers will be provided with training for preparing ICT based lectures with the help of the faculties of Department of ?Computer Science and Information Technology . Teachers will be encouraged to use E-Resources within the syllabus.
Student Centric Activity
  • Propose to form college Anthem so as to inculcate a feeling of oneness among the students.
  • Implement various community service project activities with support of NGO?s and Government agencies such as Police, Traffic Police, Municipality, etc.
  • Exchange Programmes for foreign students as well as our students and teachers.
  • More value added courses to be introduced to groom the students for better placements.
Staff Centric Activity
  • Finalize the formation of the Credit Society which was initiated during the previous academic year.
Administrative
  • Implementation of VRIDDHI software in the college office to streamline the student?s details.
The institution has envisioned the following activities for the forthcoming academic year ie 2012-2013.
  • Major Research projects to be undertaken.
  • Industrial linkages to be formalized.
  • Collaboration with NGO?s.
  • New Courses to be introduced.
