Activities of the Council:
  • Council goes to Parliament
To transform today?s youth into ambassadors of change, to take on the challenges and occupy worthy offices in the democratic institutions of India is the vision of the first parliament of Indian students? council leaders. SIES felt that such ?an event would enable youth of India to be conscious of the issues of the regional, national and global concern and will be well equipped to deal with it. With this purpose in mind the college decided to send three students namely Devi Dinesh, Prathamesh Pai and Vincy Abraham to the first ever parliament from 12th to 14th January 2011 at MIT school of Government ,Kothrud, Pune.

The placement cell this year is constituted of the student council members. The companies which have already visited the college this year were Mahindra Finance, First Source, EClerx and Patni Computers. Many more are scheduled in February. The career counseling centre for the college students is another feather on the Council?s cap!
  • Vision IT IS!
Visions! The festival the entire college waits for was held this year on the 9th, 10th and 11th of December. The Visions committee was headed by Khozema Nulwala, Shankar Narayan, Kalpitha Reddy and Devi Dinesh. Both the core members and the volunteers had huge participation from the council. The prize distribution was held on the 9th and 10th of December during Visions. A large gathering of people assembled in college for the ceremony and Students?
